 | This panoramic photograph was taken by James Blakeway and features a University of North Dakota© hockey game at the $104 million Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Ralph, as it's referred to, is often described as the "finest facility of its kind in the world." The 400,000 sq. ft. arena includes seats constructed of leather and cherry wood, granite floors, 50 full luxury suites and two club lounges. The training facility features a 10,000 sq. ft. weight room, fourteen locker rooms and an extra Olympic-sized practice sheet of ice. The benefactor, Ralph Engelstad, played goalie for two years at UND beginning in 1948. The late Ralph Engelstad and wife, Betty, are UND's most generous benefactors.
